Mountain Pasture

This painting is based on a photograph I took in 2009 while traveling across the US with my son. We happened upon this beautiful meadow with a charming pond and majestic mountains in the background.

This painting took me about 30 hours. I’m pretty happy with it although I usually feel like everything is crap by the time I finish with it and it takes a month or two to get some perspective. Usually I like them a lot at that point.
