Self portrait of Warren Deferbrache (Mind-Sprung) 2025

This 17″ x 20″ acrylic on canvas painting features the painter himself. He is garbed in his desert hat and sunglasses which are a must for hiking in the sun drenched Sonoran desert in southern Arizona.

The point of view is camera on the ground looking up at the artist who is standing under a pretty weird dead tree. The color brush strokes in the back ground are added to create a more interesting visual than the solid blue sky of Arizona.

The painting was undertaken to gauge the painters (hopefully) progress after 8 years at his hobby.
