Tree in The Gap

2025 by Warren DeFerbrache

17 x 20 Acrylic painting on canvas of a tree growing between rock formations. Set in Grand Canyon national park.

Living in Arizona I visit the Grand Canyon at least once per year. The peace and beauty are beyond compare. This painting is based on a photograph I took during on of my visits to the Canyon. The blue in the background gives some feel for the distances involved. It hides from the detail of the tree and rock walls in the foreground.

I love the way the tree has thrived in this gap. It has obviously been present and growing for many years. A real testament to bloom where you are planted.
