I visited Disney California with my son and his family in August 2021. Little did we know we were in for a surprise treat.

We had reservations to eat in the Lamplight Lounge for dinner. When we arrived at the resturant. The hosts lead us down some stairs and into a grungy hall full of lockers and mop buckets. I was wondering ‘what the hell this is nasty’.
We came to this strange contraption of a door with a crank and 3 lights at the top. She told us that the crank had to be turned fast to light the lights which would open the door. More ‘what the hell’ thoughts from me now but I was becoming intrigued. Where was this leading? One of my grandchildren stepped up to the crank turning challenge and succeeded in lighting the lights. There was a thump and the door opened.

We entered a room with a bunch of sketches on the wall (see picture above). The hosts told us that these were self portraits by the Pixar artists. Now I was into it! So I asked about the room and why we were there. Turns out that it used to be a game room but they decided to turn it into a special room you can only get at random. No buying your way into it.
The room is great! Very private and it has a dock which faces the Incredicoster and other attractions. We were told that we had the room for two hours. We felt very lucky and had a great time. On top of that the food was delicious.
